How is SGPA calculated under the UGC CBCS system?
SGPA (Semester Grade Point Average) is the ratio of the sum of the product of the number of credits with the grade points scored by a student in all the courses, to the sum of the credits for all courses in that semester. What is the 40% hurdle rule in Indian universities?
Under UGC guidelines, many central and state universities require a student to score a minimum of 40% in BOTH the Internal Assessment (Continuous Evaluation) and the End-Semester External Examination individually to pass the course. If you score 35% in internal but 80% in external, your aggregate might be a pass, but you will fail the course due to the internal hurdle.
How do I convert my SGPA to a percentage?

What are the UGC 10-point grading system grade points?
